For a roadside banner, most churches choose 3' x 6' or 4' x 8'. Keep it to a few words in big letters so drivers can read it at a glance. Use 13 oz vinyl for most spots, and 18 oz or mesh where it's windy or for longer usage times. Our church banner guide covers sizes and letter height.

In full sun and wind, a vinyl banner usually lasts one to three years and a feather flag about one to two. Bringing them in during storms and storing them rolled, not folded, helps them last longer.
